Ad Deir Guesthouse

Location is great once you find it - a short walk downhill to the Petra visitors center. Parking was a bit tricky at first, but no problem once you realize it’s perfectly ok to park on the sidewalk! Don’t be intimidated by the steps up from the street, and if you have trouble finding it, remember to stay left at the top of the first flight of stairs from the street and just look for the blue painted signs showing you the way (they’re everywhere from the street to the top). The room was cozy and well-equipped - perfectly fine for our party of three with minimal luggage. AC worked very well. Absolutely no complaints about the accommodations at all. We requested bagged lunches, and they were amazing for a day trip into Petra - plenty of snacks for a nearly all-day hike. Khaled is amazingly hospitable and kind. He was always available via WhatsApp to answer any questions, and he provided great advice and contacts for a trip to Wadi Rum. We left behind a couple of small items, and Khaled was kind enough to keep them safe until we could return to collect. We would definitely look forward to staying here again.

Very friendly owners and a good location for Petra. They do a very good lunch bag which is very good value. They organised transport for us to Wadi Rum.

Excellent location. But best of all, was the service of the young owner. Friendly, very polite. I recommend trying dinner made by your mother

The room was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Khaled was very helpful and it’s quite close to Petra.

Great location and absolutely good value for money. The host was very welcoming and flexible regarding arrival time and breakfast. He helped us with everything we asked for and even recommended a great restaurant nearby. We stayed for only one night but I would choose the same place again for a longer stay too, the room, sheets and towels were nice and clean, we even had coffee and water prepared in the room.

The toilet was a little bit uncomfortable, but no serious issues. :)

Nice room with private bathroom, a few steps up the hill, free parking available along road nearby, Khalid was a very lovely host, 7min walk to Petra visitor centre, delicious home-cooked dinner, tea, shisha, lunch bags provided, fantastic stay & everything perfect! We would stay here again!

Everything was great

The guesthouse is very close to Petra bus station and Petra entrance. The host was very nice !! we were very well received. I highly recommend it. Thanks to Sadam and his brother Khalid

Walking distance to Petra VC with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Property is located above the main street so need to carry your luggages up the steps. Recommend to inform them of your arrival time so they can welcome you and help with luggages. Hot shower works but pressure can be better. Give it some time for hot water to flow. Comfortable beds.
