Lovely modern lodge and a lovely friendly family that own it, happy to help you with any questions in person or via phone would definitely recommend.

Not a lot

Smelt damp, hot tub was empty and dirty, making it unusable, massive dog poos in car parking space, no WiFi so no working TV

the lodge is very beautiful, spacious, with an outdoor space

no welcome from the host, unclear instructions to find the property and the host postponed the check in time with little notice. internet connection did not work and it was a problem because the phone had no connection in the house; the single bed was a very uncomfortable camp bed. the refrigerator at night made a very annoying noise... for the price paid I expected a better service

The main bed was soooo comfortable

I’d originally booked it for two people and then straightaway tried to book it for a third person. Which Booking.com failed to tell the owners so when we got there, the sofa bed was broken so my eighty year-old Uncle couldn’t sleep on it so I had to go out and buy a blowup bed. They did tell me that they had told Booking.com it’s only for two people now but when I booked it said three people. Also, there is massive gaps in the bathroom door so if you’re in the front room, you can see someone sitting on the toilet. We was told they was going to fix it when we left.

The lodge itself, decking and hot tub

The mattress was amazing but the bed was metal and wouldn’t stop squeaking any time we moved, also the sheets kept coming off as they were too big. The hot tub was full of leaves and slugs which we had to get rid of ourselves and we had to pay for the logs to be able to use the hot tub. Dogs were running around on the driveway which was quite dangerous as we were trying to drive in and out of the property also young children around playing too.
