The Sunlit Sea Retreat

The property was very clean and tidy. Entry instructions clear and easy. The location is excellent with a partial sea view and close to all the amenities. Although it was a shared property there was no noise from adjacent flats.

The sofa and armchair beds were very uncomfortable and hard to sit on so no getting cosy watching TV at night. The single beds were too small for us (both 6ft) and the single quilts didn’t cover us completely. There were only two knives for us to use so we were washing them up to use each time we ate or buttered toast or cut some cake etc. Lack of cutlery in general. Only 3 desert spoons. No small plates. No beer glasses.

Road quite busy. Didn’t expect that much traffic.

Beds bit small for me and soft. But i am 6ft.4.

Would like a few more kitchen utensils like sharp knives, wooden spoons. Small plates. A Few bits and bobs like a few tea bags (we left you some) salt and pepper etc is always welcome when yr travelling. Also a couple of loo rolls is also welcome as we had to use our own tissues on the last morning :) We pushed the beds together and could see that the area down the sides of the beds could do with a bit of attention :) hoping these points are helpful as we loved the flat.

The location was great to meet up with family staying in Walmer. Neighbourhood was quiet. Hosts were quick to respond when we got locked out.

The beds in the lounge were awful. It was like sleeping on a concrete floor. My husband couldn't even sit on them they were so hard. My daughter and I didn't sleep at all well. An additional topper could resolve the issue and wouldn't take up too much room.

Location 10/10 Stylish interior - Spacious Carpets - 100% clean. Our white socks stayed white. TV and wifi - but had to guess the network provider Duvets - light and fluffy Coffee machine - it's a Vertuo

Lack of hand soap in the bathroom. No freezer to store ice - thankfully we had taken a cooler box. Sticky window blinds. Steps to the property and inside to access the kitchen. Firm 'chair' beds in the living room. The other beds were fine. Lack of plates and utensils for four people - small frying pan, only one wine glass!
