Field Hut

A great place to stay for my purpose. Lovely and quiet, off the beaten track. Rustic and rural but with consideration given to the needs of the guest.

A microwave oven would have been good but not essential.

the location is great and very quiet and peaceful, if you want to go away and hide for a week this is a great place to go, you could latterly stay there and do nothing, as a base for traveling its great got all you need.

Only thing is the toilet being outside, a bit of a pain as an older person needing the loo at night and the hob was broke on one ring, and no microwave.

A super adorable and cosy place to stay! Nestled in a farm, surrounded by fields and secluded with its own garden, it was the perfect little retreat! Even though it was off grid, we had everything we needed and it was a great excuse to switch off from life properly while there :) I did have some work to do, but this was a great excuse to go to the St Kew Farm Shop and Cafe, which is a short walk away (no pavements but really not far), who were also very friendly and accommodating, with WiFi connection, great food and so many lovely dogs visiting! Everything was spotlessly clean, the furnishings are beautiful, there's running water and the shower is really good! We were subject to a storm while there but it was an enjoyable experience from the dry and warm hut :) We are already planning to return!

We really needed to unwind from our busy lives and this place certainly delivered. Views of beautiful British rolling hills, sheep & birds. Very comfortable hut with books to read, games to play and a radio. We didn't have much data or WiFi and for us that made it even more special. We spent our evenings reading & listening to music. Just what the doctor ordered :)

The compost toilet was an adjustment but we took it as part of the adventure :)

Location, ambiance

Lovely feel to the place. Very comfortable bed. Yellow paintwork and the wheel features. The gorgeous garden with beautiful butterfly's, quite surroundings and the sunrise view across the fields.

I think the shower curtain needs shortening.

Location was great - quiet but close to the local towns. Wildlife was amazing- foxes, barn owls & bats 😎

The large glass window had condensation in it but it didn’t really matter as we sat outside most of the time.
