Very accommodating and friendly staff who provided an amazing breakfast and smooth check-in. The rooms were fit with everything I needed for a short stay and Leon provided good recommendations for onwards travel and other things to do in Negombo!

Room can be a little stuffy at the end of day with only just a fan, but cools down eventually.

Location was near city center as well as beach.

Rooms were cramped. The lower room had strong damp odour. The geysers were not working.

Lovely atmosphere at star canal cottage, Leon looked after us well and we appreciated the breakfast! Rooms are simple but very clean and have new very comfy mattresses!

We really loved the property. The owner is a very nice person Mr. Leon. They gave us a huge portion of Breakfast. Highly recommended!

The owner Leyen is a very good cook and host. The room and bed were comfortable and clean. Leyon also arranges airport transfers at local prices.
