Audkula Dome Cabin

This property is perfect, well equipped in a lovely, private location by the river, in a small wooded area. It felt like a very special place, sunshine and clear sky and a wonderful display of the Northern Lights, an unforgettable experience. Warm and cozy inside with windows that frame the view beautifully. I didn’t think I’d love the outdoor shower but it was a lovely experience, lots of hot water and a single step back into the warmth of the cabin. This place is perfect, I wished we had been able to stay a second night.

Nothing, but the third bed (sofa) was a little tight for my 190cm son.

Perfectly situated, just off the ring road. Very comfortable cabin with a sitting and eating area, a kitchen with hob, fridge, toaster and coffee press. We very much appreciated the coffee and the cooking oil. Comfortable bed. The outdoor shower was great fun and when you are in, you don’t want to come out, it’s so lovely. Good, strong wifi. Views from the cabin are the woods and the river, secluded yet not lonely. Birds came right up to the cabin, it was fun to watch them. Owners are very welcoming and even invited us to look at their beautiful architect designed own home. Stunning house!

Nothing except having to leave

We love the outdoor shower! And the down comforter is warm and fluffy! The pillow is also very comfortable. The cabin is next to a river with trees. Very very nice

I recently stayed at this cabin nestled in a stunning natural setting, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The location is nothing short of amazing, surrounded by nature that offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights was the unique bathing experience – the bathroom was open to the skies, making it a truly memorable way to connect with nature.

I did find the cabin to be a bit cramped for three people. While it would be perfect for a couple, the space felt tight with three adults. My spouse and I were comfortable, but our friend had to sleep on the sofa, which wasn’t a futon and wasn’t ideal for a good night’s rest. Overall, I would recommend this cabin for couples looking for a cozy, nature-immersed getaway, but it may not be the best fit for larger groups or those needing more space.

The location

You can not adjust the water temperature of the out door shower. The water temperature will be too hot for first person, good for second person, and cold for the third person.

We had a lovely stay at the Audkula Dome Cabin! It was very cozy, clean and had everything we needed. The location is perfect for exploring surrounding attractions such as Landmannalaugar or Porsmörk. The nearby bus stop makes it suitable for guests traveling by public transport as well. The hosts responded to our requests very quickly and spared no effort for us. We are very happy that we booked this accommodation!
