Die Lage ist sehr praktisch. Direkt gegenüber ist das Parkhaus und direkt unter der dem Haus beginnt der Markt, wo ein tolles Lokal ist (Fratelli Burgio). Wir haben dort 2 x gefrühstückt und 1 x zu Mittag gegessen. Sehr gut!!! Generell bietet das Apartment sehr viel Platz und die Betten sind sehr gut. Die Übergabe und Kommunikation war sehr gut und Marcello ist immer erreichbar. Es gab kleine Kostenproben im Apartment aus dem "Fratelli Burgio" und auch die Zusatzprodukte im Bad waren sehr hochwertig. Danke!

Im Badezimmer müsste die Dusche am Boden etwas erneuert werden. Das Apartment ist in Ordnung, aber wir hätten ein paar Ideen: neben der kleinen Küchenzeile, wäre es gut, wenn es noch eine Arbeitsplatte geben könnte, wo man die Speisen zubereitet. Platz für eine zusätzliche Platte wäre auf jeden Fall vorhanden. Ein paar Bilder oder eine Deko an der Wand wäre nett. Das Apartment wirkt daher eher kühl und nicht so wohnlich. Aber das ist natürlich Geschmackssache!

Good prompt responses from Marchello to my questions. Used WhatsApp effectively and was friendly to us. Above the market but actually a quiet location overnight. Nice view from the balcony.

Screens on the doors and windows, however, I know it’s not a feature in most European countries.

The location.

La Vacanza was the most horrible experience that we've had traveling throughout Sicily. The apartment on Booking.com received favorable reviews & the 'staged' photos were not accurate. The entire apartment smells of mildew & the ceiling & walls had paint pealing from them. The sea view was blocked by scaffolding by construction that was being done on the property. When we contacted Booking.com & the owner to complain, it fell on deaf ears. Booking.com should NOT have this property on its platform, as it's embarrassing. We paid 247 euros for this place & when asked for one night's refund, nothing was offered. DO NOT BOOK La Vacanza in Ortigia!

Alles auf Ortigia zu Fuß erreichbar. Meersicht, helles Zimmer, freundlich gestaltet. Check- in hat problemlos funktioniert.

Dusche wackelig, nicht ganz funktionstüchtig (Regendusche) und unschöne Altersspuren im Bad, gehört repariert und renoviert. Eine dünne Überdecke zum Schlafen hat gefehlt.

Lovely apartment equipped with everything that you would need. Very spacious with a large bathroom. I had a balcony overlooking the sea which was wonderful. Great location in beautiful Ortigia. Marcello who runs the place was a great bloke & very helpful. Would highly recommend.
