Hotel New Imperial

It was a dirty and stinky place - absolutely filthy. It looked like no one cleaned the room since Gandhi died. There were small insects crawling in the room and on the bed. Bathroom smelled mold and toilet definietly wasn’t properly scrubbed after previos guests. „Breakfast” consisted of 4 pieces of stale bread, a dry omelet and chai in a dirty cup. But the smell was the worst - we could smell smog, poop and mold. (Air conditioning also smelled bad). It was a horrible experience. What I will say is that the staff was not problematic. Even if they brought us a bottle of water at midnight (?!).

Good location, there is an elevator. Omlette ok, no diarhea. AC works well.

We were bitten by bedbugs (photos attached). Breakfast awful, they serve to the room. We were 2 people and received 1 omlette and 1 cup of sweet coffee(or masala chai?). Anyway, the cup was dirty. On 2nd day, we received breakfast only for 1 person... The staff also tried to cheat us on price when we arrived and asked to pay in cash, but we didn't have such big amount in rupees. Finally we paid the same price as in booking by card. Many hotels in India take a photo of your booking pin code and later post a comment instead of you. In general, advice for travellers: take a photo of your booking and hide the pin. They take your phone and directly makes a photo of pin, be careful.

The location of the hotel was great.

The hotel room was very small and we had requested a twin but they provided us with a double, on asking for a twin they said there wasn’t one available.

Scam hotel. Hated everything

The breakfast was in their own choice and time and in the room. It is not a proper place only for breakfast. They had hair in the plate. They don't have anything they say in the description. The towels were dirty and torn. Dirty and rude.

Breakfast was bad and never served before 8.30, bathrooms and rooms could have been better.

WE ARRIVED 4 HOURS LATE AT 04.00, BUT THERE WERE STILL STAFF UP TO LET US IN.

Almost everything. The room we booked wasn't available so they gave us another room for one night, the room was dirty and partly decorated, should not have been let out, but at 4.00 am we had no choice. Breakfast was in cluded, but was inedible. breakfast consisted of a thin plain tasteless omelette, three slices of square white bread,buttered with the crusts cut off, and a small cup of incredibly sweet warm Chai. No cutlery, no salt or pepper, and served in the room to eat whilst sitting on the bed. The bathroom was dusty, the bathroom mirror was stained. The bed was rock hard, the sheets you could spit few, and had a few holes. The one pillow was barely adequate and had a blood stain on it. The staff were friendly enough, and I felt safe at all times but the area was full of shops selling scooter/motercycle parts and the traffic noise was fairly constant until the early hours of the morning. There was little in the way of local restaurants, none that seemed clean, there were street vendors, but agin most of the offerings looked less than tempting. To ao it all, the whole Grant Street area is a building site whilst they build the metro station, and the dust and noisey which made for a non-relaxed stay.
