Hotel New Imperial

We really liked our stay at this hotel. The room was big enough, everything was clean and hygienic. Aircon and Tv worked. The bathroom work very well, with working hot shower. They have the typical hard matress that you find everywhere in the country. Staff was friendly and helpfull. We also had breakfast, that was basic but gave us a good start of the day. Close by we had diner at Shabnam restaurant, which has good food.

There are no real highlights in the neigbourhood, but it was close to grant trainstation from where you can easily take the train to the north of Mumbai.

All good, modern room, very clean apart from a dead cockroach on the floor. Breakfast is just toast, egg, tea or coffee ans small.

Careful when it comes to ordering a taxi, they tried to cheat us, told us a taxi to the airport would be 1000 Rupees but we could get it for 800. Scam, the official fare is less than 450. Better pick one yourself.

Nothing to like in the property. The only positive aspect of the property is its proximity to Marine Drive. However, the locality itself is quite old and dirty.

Overall Experience: We booked two rooms at this property, and unfortunately, the issues we encountered were common to both. The price of the room was significantly overpriced and offered very poor value for money. Based on our experience, we would strongly advise against staying here. Room Quality: The rooms were extremely small, barely accommodating a queen-sized bed. Additionally, there were issues with cleanliness, as we found small insects on the bedsheets, and the sheets and blankets themselves were filthy. The room also had an unpleasant odor at times, and the staff's attempt to address this with a room freshener was inadequate in resolving the root cause of the smell. Service: One of the room was out of water for several hours which delayed us by a significant amount of to get ready. Despite repeated complaints, the staff was unresponsive and provided inaccurate timelines for fixing the issue, stating it would be resolved within 5 minutes, which was not the case. Breakfast: The breakfast provided was of very poor quality and practically inedible. Reviews We believe the reviews on Booking.com are completely fake. We recommend consulting reviews on Google for the accurate portrayal of this property.

Few weeks after our stay I recieved a notification that an opinion was published although I didn't do it. On our first day the staff took a picture of my screen with reservation details so I guess it might allow them to publish fake opinions. They rated themselves 10/10 although our stay was far from that. The rooms need refreshing, the view from our window was just a wall, the window was extremely dirty and we couldn't close it properly. The staff is struggling with English so it was really hard to discuss anything. And on top of that, there's the scamming with ratings - this situation is just ridiculous.

Comfy bed. Close to train and lots of places to eat and supermarket close by. Breakfast was fine too.

Very noisy in the hotel all the time. Lift played loud music every time it was used we could hear from our room. People slamming doors and loud talking till very early hours. Breakfast was bought to the room and was eaten sitting on the bed. Strong smell of mothballs
