Carpe Diem Kamaida

This charming minshuku-style villa is four wishes in one: 1. A traditional abode that looks like a heritage ‘kominka’ from the outside complete with plastered walls, its own mini garden, and bedrooms with tatami and wooden chests. 2. A view of a quintessential Kochi scenery: the sight and sound of the pristine Niyodo river flowing just 2 minutes’ walk outside, and a ‘submersible’ bridge, which in itself is a star attraction of the area. If you thought the village, the bridge, and the river looked like a film set, it actually is: it appeared in a recent anime! 3. Proximity to prime sights in the area. Apart from the Aso bridge that is in full view outside the house, it is also only 25 minutes away from Nakatsu gorge, and a bit further lie the other pretty ‘Niyodo Blue!’ spots. 4. Art works from various artists abound in this guesthouse. The keeper of the guesthouse, Chris, is an artist himself. I don’t know much about art but I think Chris’ paintings and art were great, especially after flipping through his book!

A beautiful property, both inside and out. Everything is clean and modern in an exquisite old-style building.

快適な宿泊でした

周りの石垣がとても風情があり、 中の、日本とヨーロッパの融合したような 雰囲気、とても良かったです。 リビングはもちろん、バスルームや、 洗面所、そして、広い玄関や、入り口の渡り、 どれも素敵すぎました！！ 大人数での宿泊でも、十分楽しめ、 また、リピートしたいです。

清潔感に溢れていた

外装、内装すべてがおしゃれで清潔感があって素敵な空間でした。展示してあるアート作品たちもその空間を素敵に演出しており、癒される空間でした。和室は小さい子供にとって寝やすく過ごしやすかったです。 調理器具や調理道具もかなり充実しており、不便なく思いきり料理を楽しむことができました。 また宿泊したいです。
