Bietjie Bos Chalet

Bietjie Bos Chalet is a very nice place inside Utopia Nature Estate. It’s only about 30 minutes from Rustenburg and about an hour and a half from Sandton, so it’s not too far from the city. What I liked most is that the chalet is off‑grid, but everything still works well. The solar and battery are strong, and the gas stove and fridge make things easy. No appliances are allowed, but that’s fine because you are in nature and you must live the nature life. I stayed with my daughters, and we were very comfortable. The hiking trails are amazing. There are big common pools and many natural dams from the river where you can swim. There is also putt‑putt, tennis courts, a play area for kids, a restaurant, a chapel, and nice picnic spots. Animals walk around freely, and you can park right at your chalet.

Some of the common areas in the estate are getting old and need a bit of fixing, like the roads, tennis courts, play area and putt putt area. It would be nice to see these improvements on our next visit. You must keep your windows, curtains, and doors closed because of the monkeys whenever you leave the chalet.

The place was very clean. Chalet had everything we needed for a family stay. The staff was very friendly. Loved the pool area. Loved that it catered for all ages. The mountains views from our room was breathe taking. Loved that our Chalet had games as well. Really enjoyed our stay

The pool was a bit of a distance from our Chalet, would have been grest to be closer so we could walk. Would have been nice to have more lighting outside to enjoy a evening view of the place

The place is very peaceful, clean, comfy and very welcoming.. Let me tell you about the host Anita, heaven sent that 1.. Always willing to assist, a phone call away.. Our kids had a pleasant stay and want to go back during the next school holidays, we most definitely going back.. Thank you so much Anita, may God bless you ❤️

In the bush, very peaceful.

Very small. Kitchen equipment need upgrade, Towels are old, No service at cottage to clean braai or equipment to clean it, WIFI signal not very strong, Off the grid, so inverter very noisy at night. Place are very overrated and pricy for what you get. No cover parking for car, and no outside front light. So very dark at night!! Not a 4 bed or 6 as the stairs are so steep and dangerous to climb. Did not attempt to go upstairs!! All in my opinion!!

The location was perfect.

The host made a mistake with the booking and instead of apologising she was rude and belittled me which is such a shame because she was amazing over the phone and in the reviews. This sort of dampen my mood during the stay.

Die Lage im Park mit all den Vögeln war sehr speziell. Die Gastgeberin hat alle unsere Wünsche erfüllt.
