Utopia Nature Reserve is a small nature park with houses scattered throughout the park, serving as second homes or vacation homes. The park has strict rules against noise pollution, and you get entry after having checked in by security personnel who also patrol the area. The owners then drove to us to collect us and bring us to a beautiful 2 stories home with a stunning view, in a wooded area. On the second floor is a bedroom with a balcony; the home has also a bed on the ground floor where further a sitting room and kitchen can be found. You can see animals like baboons and birds.

There are 6 walking routes in the reserve, which is great. Note that not all well signposted and some but not all offer an easy walk.

Our host Anita was fantastic—attentive and warm, checking in to ensure our stay was smooth. The location is tucked away in a remote, peaceful setting—perfect for those who enjoy the charm of off-the-grid living. It’s perfect if you’re into a little adventure but still want to feel comfy and safe.
