Peacock Riverside Eco Lodge

Le logement est vraiment au cœur de la nature et nos hôtes étaient vraiment accueillants. La nourriture était délicieuse, nous avons pris nos 2 repas du soir et s'était délicieux!

Le logement est très isolé du centre ville. Cependant il est possible de s'y rendre en taxi ou tuctuc. Il y a peu de restaurant dans la région mais il est possible de manger sur place et la nourriture y est délicieuse

The location makes it exceptionally easy to go on safari (which was incredible), and the room is comfortable, clean and had a good shower.

No blanket on the bed Having to haggle on price for safari the night before. We asked a few days prior around costs which were not confirmed. Transparency would be appreciated (we paid 55000 for 4 hours in the park) to allow travellers to budget accordingly

We went for the safari, we stayed in a very rural area surrounded by nature to make the experience even better. On arrival we were offered a cooking class in the evening which was excellent. Sujee and his wife are so lovely and he is so knowledgeable about the safari. The hotel itself is very well built and kept and high quality. We went on a all day safari from around 10am, lunch included, and saw so much on the day, I would highly recommend a longer safari if you can afford it as it’s really worth it.

Staying with Sujee was a delightful experience ! We had the chance to stay in the middle of the jungle between trees and a river flowing by. The room was super clean and comfortable and Sujee’s wife prepared the best Sri lankan diner for us. A true peaceful peace of heaven. We also did a Safari with Sujee who know his Udawalawe park by heart and can guide you the best to see the most of animals !

The bed was not super clean, the bed was not done yet and the owner seemed high or drunk. The 9.9 on Booking seems really high for how our experience was. When we arrived he retained us outside our bedroom just after we left all our things inside - that has a balcony on the other side, that you can reach walking from the other side - and now that we’ve left we’ve noticed that 100€ were missing. And this morning he was suggesting us to go to the ATM to withdraw cash for his safari, that btw was not a great experience, because he knew we were short on cash now.

Family with a big Heart and awesome food and always the will to please the people living here. Amazing plaze

We stayed 2 nights in this village jungle oasis among coconut trees, at this super friendly family. Great location, a bit off the beaten path but very comfortable, great huge bed, no mosquitos. Super shower! Our hosts cooked great food for us, we got the best breakfast during our 3week stay in Sri Lanka. We also went on a super full day safari with Sujee, was a highlight of our trip, saw many elephants!
