Little Oak Cottage

The location is superb and the pool is lovely.

Beautiful quaint little cottage in a very cute little town. My partner and I really had a lovely time - it’s a perfect little romantic getaway for couples to connect and spend some quality time together. A big back garden with a cute little pool to the one side of the deck and a braai to the other side.

The toilet doesn’t flush well, you have to flush it 3+ times to flush the mess, which is not great - the lid of the cistern is also cemented into the wall so you can’t fill it up manually. The bedroom lacks ann air-con, which would be really great as upstairs gets especially hot and stuffy in the mid-summer heat, despite the provided fans.

This was our 2nd time we stayed at Little Oak cottage. The first time was amazing in 2021, that's why we decided to come back. Little did we know it has a new owner. We were very disappointed the 2nd time around. The place wasn't clean, there was urine in the toilet that was so old the entire upstairs smelled extremely bad. The is a hygienic threat and surely a health violation. Surely accommodation should clean a toilet before new visitors arrive. The washing machine had washing inside that was left wet so it started to have a moldy smell. The coffee was super old, hard and stick to the jar, the manager/owner didn't even make sure everything was clean and coffee was edible. I would not recommend anyone to book this as it is expensive so you'd expect it to be atleast clean. I took pictures for the owner, they weren't even bother by it. Only said they're not in the country and the lady who runs it, well let me assure you she never checks up on the place. Not worth your money.

Very Charming place, the private backyard (with swimming pool) is inviting to have a good time. Everything was lovely about this place. Horses casually walking in past the boundary fence. We had a splendid time at little oak Cottage. Thanks Nicki and Bridget for facilitating us.

We had a wonderful stay – an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for couples looking to unwind. The hosts went above and beyond with little touches like complimentary chocolates and bottled water, making us feel so welcome. The enclosed garden was a fantastic addition, especially for our dogs, who could roam safely and freely. Overall, a perfect getaway with everything we needed.

The cottage itself was very neat and clean. It is well equipped and I loved the garden. Very secure and quiet place. The town itself is very beautiful and people are friendly. Will definitely come for a longer stay.
