STRONG COOKING SMELLS IN THE BATHROOM BOTH DAYS, WE DID NOT COOK IN THE APARTMENT

Property is in a great location, quiet building and has the potential to be a great stay

On arrival, the check-in process is unbelievably cumbersome. We eventually got into the apartment and it was not cleaned after the previous guests left. In fairness to Charles Hope, they had another apartment in the building and moved us to this one. The new apartment was fine, however the hot water worked for 2minutes before cutting out and needing to be reset which took 30mins to do. Overall, it was not a comfortable stay, I should have booked the hotel instead!

The accommodation was delightful and ideally positioned for our evening event, so much so that we decided not to go out to dinner and instead enjoy the facilities, cooking our own meal. Comfy beds, well appointed kitchen and fabulous looking bathrooms. Amazing!!

We were frustrated by a lack of hot water. Upon investigation we saw that the boiler had an E4 error code, which should have been picked up during the cleaning of the property. It was such a shame because we each had looked forward to using such delightful showers... the apartment and the stay was otherwise wonderful and if the boiler is fixed I would surely love to stay again. The access to the apartment was a little odd and made us feel uncomfortable for a moment. A call with someone who guided us to the property without explaining what she was going to do first, and whilst not unpleasant, her instructions felt a little off in the moment..

El apartamento está en muy buenas condiciones y superó mis expectativas. Tiene una ubicación excelente y estaba muy limpio.

Lo único es que recoger las llaves es un poco engorroso. Si haces la reserva el mismo día, tienes que llamar, y además te piden un depósito de 100 libras y presentar un documento de identidad, algo que no vi en Booking cuando hice la reserva. Pero aparte de eso, fue una muy buena elección. ¡Volvería sin duda!

We booked this accommodation weeks in advance and completed the online check in. Then an hour before we were due to arrive we received a message from the property saying they could 'no longer accommodate' us 'due to closure of the accommodation', without further explanation. This left us with nowhere to stay and having to rebook somewhere else at much greater expense. Do NOT book this place.

Comfortable, clean, great value and cosy.
