Yosemite Gatekeeper's Lodge

Great location only 15 min drive from the Yosemite Arch Rock entrance. We loved the quiet surroundings and the patio area with BBQ and hot tub. Shower pressure is decent, comfy beds, clean towels. Brilliant brand new oven, I liked that they provided a kettle, coffee machine, microwave and even a blender! AC downstairs is decent. It was pretty good for the price we paid and the location. We liked that we could use the pool at the Yosemite Cedar Lodge (where you collect the keys).

Some of the kitchen utensils need replacing, the frying pans and chopping board have reached the end of their lifespan. They need to buy some more baking trays and the fridge freezer did not close properly. Please note that you need to climb a vertical ladder to reach the two beds upstairs so we couldn’t take our luggage upstairs. It was also incredibly hot upstairs and the AC upstairs is quite old and takes a long time to cool the room, so make sure you leave it on for a few hours before bedtime.

Great location and friendly staff at Cedar Lodge. Very convenient access to Yosemite.

Pictures not reflective - loft room not suitable for young family to access. 90 degree ladder to access room. Several stairs up to house which was also difficult to get luggage to room. Restaurant on site was closed and not noted on website. Bar had very limited menu and several items were not available.

Location. Deck. Pretty clean except under bed.

3 adult friends rented. Towels were dirty. Air conditioner on 2nd floor stopped working twice. Date of arrival it was so hot one could not sleep there. Call made; they never responded. If we needed anything we had to drive 3 miles to get it. Inadequate kitchen supplies. (NO spatula, toaster only toasted on one side.) No welcome book. No screens,. Sofa bed was not comfortable for adults. Toilet paper there: I extra roll. Someone did not prepare for our stay. Deck is beautiful. Driveway has many potholes to manage

This was the worst place I stayed at and most expensive one. It was ultra dirty, stinky, old. There wasnt single thing I would like here. Dirty old bed sheets, bugs everywhere, dust, spider webs, stinky water, molded and broken shower which was leaking everywhere, human hairs in shower in sink in kitchen sink. Very shaddy place. Do not go there at all. I don’t know how this could have 8.0 stars on booking. I ended up sleeping in car. I forget to mention refrigerator was broken too, broken handle, broken drawers etc. Bed sheets were like 20 years old.

The location is still one of the closest to Yosemite. The place still had enough space for 4 out of the 5 people to avoid the hot attic bedroom

The attic room (3 beds are there) was extremely hot. Despite the bottom floor being cool, all the hot air was collected there, which made it impossible to sleep there for hours. We had to open the door to the balcony so that one person could sleep on the bed right next to it. The keys pickup system was not convenient either. The location this place is pinned at in Booking is also not accurate - it's actually located within Redbud Lodge, which is located past Incline, CA if going down the 140 from Yosemite
