A localização é maravilhosa, mesmo no centro do funchal, perto de tudo, de comercio, restaurantes e transportes. A simpatia e diponibilidade do anfitrião é 5 estrelas.

Location was excellent, very central and convenient access to many restaurants and tourist attractions by foot. There are also two main supermarkets nearby. The apartment is very spacious and bright. There is an elevator for loading baggage to upper floors.

Upon check-in, one set of towel was missing (we had 3 ppl). The host did not pick up our message until the second day. Our unit C (the room that sleeps 3 ppl) had a really bad sewage odour coming from the bathroom close to the kitchen upon check-in. The smell got worse as we stayed for 6 nights. Notified host unfortunately nothing was done. The ensuite bathroom had a leak at the base of the shower - water pools up every time we showered. After contacting the host they provided a few more floor towels for us.

Very central, but not in the noisy area. The flat was perfect, super comfortable bed.

The place is big, lots of space. The bed is cozy. There is a pretty good pan that works well.

Communication is a "choose your own adventure" book where the pages are blank. Sending check-in info while guests are on a red-eye is a bold strategy, especially when follow-up questions are treated like spam mail. My "I’m going to arrive at... could you..." question was met with a riveting: "Hello [Name]"—friendly, but not an answer. The security is also a unique vibe: We came back to find a craftsman just hanging out on our balcony. The host gave him and his whole crew access to the apartment without informing us and didn't bother with an explanation or apology afterward. The place is a "Spartan Fridge"—huge, empty, and perpetually chilly. While the outside walls are amazing at blocking street noise (you'd never know you're in the center), the inside walls are made of tissue paper. We had front-row seats to a French couple’s 4 AM screaming match. There are two bathrooms, but one smells like a crime scene in the pipes. So we treated it as such and never opened that door again.
