- Amazing staff and service. - Beautiful lounge attached to the room which we were able to enjoy privately most of the time. - Nice refreshments provided. - Good location for exploring.

1. We had the room linked to the lounge, which we didn't realise could only be accessed by narrow, spiral stairs - a bit inconvenient as we had a lot of luggage. 2. Blinds / curtains not black-out, so the room gets quite bright in the morning. 3. Breakfast is rigid - must be served at 8am, with small portions and little variety.

Location was fantastic. Close to train & bus station and only a short walk to old town. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and received a generous bottle of sparkling sake & treats on check-in to help us celebrate -a lovely touch. Staff also assisted with arranging restaurant bookings ahead of our visit. Breakfast and the stocked bar fridge were also appreciated and the cedar bath was amazing at the end of our busy days.

Only minor thing was the bathroom which had visible discolouration on the wall.

Que de una habitación había que pasar por la otra. No recordamos que las fotos ofrecieran esa imagen. ... No sé.... ibamos dos parejas y 1 de ellas se fue a otro hotel con el consiguiente gasto adicional Se quedó con recepción que el día de salida un taxi servicio free recogerla a la pareja restante para llevarlos a la estación. El taxi no apareció

The property was beautiful, and the amenities were incredible. We had a spacious cedar bath in the bathroom and a sauna. The kitchen was well-equipped with a refrigerator, stylish glasses, a café maker, a tea maker, and a toaster. Even though we didn’t cook or bring home any food, it was convenient to have a bottle of wine on hand. The bathroom also had a washing machine, which was a great feature while we were staying. Every morning, the property management delivered breakfast to our house, which was a nice touch. The house is conveniently located in a prime spot, close to everything we needed. We enjoyed visiting the morning market and having coffee and croissants there.

The bedrooms are on the second floor and it was hard to bring up our suitcases on the staircase. Wish the closet was on the first floor. Beyond then that I could not mention any other experienced that was negative.

This place is fantastic. The best place we stayed in Japan so far. The house was spacious, well equipped and very beautiful. It was hard to leave. If I am ever in Takayama again there is no where else I would stay.

I know it is a traditional Japanese house with these beautiful sliding doors but the there are no blinds in the main bedroom which means I woke up when he sun was up.
