Watership Down Inn

We had a brilliant stay at Watership Down. Comfy room. Fabulous food. Amazing staff. Thank you.

Clear clutter outside rooms in lounge area. But it’s a minor issue.

The location is ideal. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Shower worked well and the staff were friendly. They have a sitting area with board games that you can use. Parking is easy.

There were coffee rings on the bedside shelf and hairs in the bathroom.

Location is superb, the building is packed with charm, and has been updated nicely

Avoid room 3, which is above the kitchen, and has a large box built into the side of the wall to conceal the kitchen extractor fan - in a room already so small that the shower and loo are in a wardrobe (seriously). There's another (locked) wardrobe whichmust contain the hot water cylinder for the kitchen. It was giving off heat when we arrived in the hottest summer since time began, and no amount of window-opening could make it bearable. I can only assume that this was the booking.com room, because there were at least two empty rooms which looked large, spacious - and cool.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Room clean and spacious and the bed bet comfortable. Food tasty.

Whilst the food was good, the portion sizes wasn't very generous.
