"Perfect and Christmassy for a nights getaway from the madness ."

Excellent location. Very cosy. Comfy bed. Good facilities .

Nothing . All was great. There was a curtain rather than door on the toilet but it was outside the bedroom so still private .

"Little Gem of a place"

8.0

We had a really lovely stay at penny post cottage. Such a quaint lovely house in a great location. There's some lovely walks from the house. We enjoyed wandering the English heritage site that was free access and just next door to the cottage. We also took a lovely walk up the crag which had beautiful views across the sea. The church across the road was a nice visit too and the pub down the road served a lovely meal and even gluten free fish and chips which was a bonus for a coeliac. The house is well equipped. Loved the fire place it made it super cosy in the evening. Lots of blankets. The toilet is a weired set up and quite noisy if you go during the night but ok if your all family. Shower was great once figured out how to use it. The beds are comfy and the welcome basket and milk was a lovely gesture. We would definately come again. The only negative was wifi it wasnt great tv kept going in and out kids found it frustrating but we coped. Thanks for a lovely stay.

WiFi was not great could do with improving. A Yorkshire pudding pan and sharp knife in the kitchen for cutting veg and a wooden spoon would be helpful. But we made do. Otherwise great little stocked kitchen.

It was a lovely quirky cottage the welcome basket was a lovely touch and the fresh bread and milk. Would definatley stay again the food at the pub over the road was lovely too.

We didn’t find the single beds comfortable at all probably had the worst nights sleep but mattresses are different for everyone. So don’t let that put you off what’s u comfortable for me might be perfect for someone else.

"We loved the cottage, the village, villagers and the surrounding area."

9.0

A very cosy cottage with a gate and garden, perfect for getting in and out with our dog. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable! All the rooms were very well ‘filled’ with everything we could have needed - if we wanted something, eg egg cups - it was there. Lots of throws to snuggle watching tv and even a dog bed and throw. We left our own in the car for doggie which was very useful. Very kind thoughtful flowers on the table and crisps, biscuits and jams left for us- so kind! Lighting in the rooms was great and plenty of hanging space and drawers etc in bedrooms. It was nice to have a bath and shower

I’d say we ‘didn’t not like’ anything - however the shower was quite slow. Old house/ old drains etc I think- not something Katrina could solve?
