"Highly recommended"

9.0

Lovely quaint cottage, clean and tidy with lots of little extras to make your stay comfortable. In a fabulous area, close to beaches and the walk up the crag is fabulous.

Sound from the nearby pub emptying travelled up to the main bedroom, but not really an issue

"Superb"

9.0

The cottage was gorgeous and had everything we needed and more. It was in a good location to visit many different places such as Bowness, Morecambe and Kendal. The welcome hamper was very thoughtful. Bed was very comfortable, and the log burner was lovely after a long day out sightseeing. The cottage was very clean. The village where the cottage is situated is lovely and the locals were very friendly. We visited The Old School brewery for a pint on one of the nights. Very quirky place, a must place to go.

There was nothing we didn't like. The WiFi wasn't working very well, however we had plenty of things to keep us occupied.

"Beautiful cottage. So cosy & well looked after with thoughtful extras"

8.0

Beautifully renovated. Cosy & thoughtful extras made it very welcoming. Comfy bed & mostly immaculate (a few cobwebs above bed behind beam on ceiling) plenty of walks directly from cottage including the English Heritage rectory ruins practically next door & fields & fields next to school behind cottage.

There was no parking outside or nearby to unload. I tried parking opposite near church but neighbours were quite aggressive & rude telling me I wasn't allowed to park there. I tried to explain I was only unloading car but they told me I had to move my car! I wasn't restricting access or blocking anyone in so felt it was a but inconsiderate of them (house directly opposite next to church). Toilet set up a bit weird with no door, just a curtain & sadly the noisy boiler kept me awake most of night despite me trying to turn temp down as way too warm for me
