CASA MATIN BERGAMO

Laura, fabulous! Perfect English, so no one had to suffer my shocking and limited Italian. The accommodation was perfect. It was spacious, had everything we needed and very comfortable. Lovely balcony which, if it had been warmer, would have happily spent the evening sitting out there with a glass of wine. Up a few floors but the pay off is the view. Exactly as shown in the pictures.....and some! Citti Allta is just so beautiful. Shops, little eateries, bars in abundance. Not cheap but I was constantly comparing it to Naples.The funiclare takes you straight down to the lower part of Bergamo. Or down the hill to the left (if facing it), takes you to the main road to the bus stop, no1 airport bus goes down through main road of lower Bergamo, to train station and onto airport. Accessible to Milan if you fancy a day trip, certainly worth it.

Some bars/cafes in the lower part of the city, changed (tried to) their prices when they realised we were tourists. I have heard of this practice in other places, so not exclusive to Bergamo.

Excellent communication, was met early with keys, dropped off key at hotel 50m away.

Very good location. Staff is super nice.

Superb location , spacious with stunning views. Would definitely recommend as it's right in the heart of old Bergamo.

The location could not be better, only a few meters from the main cathedral square. Beautiful views. Modern apartment in an old building.

There are 51 steep steps up to the apartment, no lift. One of the bedrooms only had a standard lamp in the corner, no ceiling lights.

Its right in the center of old city. Very clean snd quite.

The space. Plenty of room.
