Hello Super Hostel

The hospitality and food....

Above this hostel was a great location where you have nice music, food and can get drinks. The owner of the restaurant above are very nice. The beds were quiete small but comfortable. Mosquito net was avaible. Hot water was avaible for people who need and the bathroom were always clean(at that timing I was the only guest)​. The owner gave me an umbrella for rainy days.

Communicating was really tough. Accordingly there were a few misconceptions.

Quite location close to the railway station. Great bar in the neighbourhood. The rooms are tiny, but good enough for budget travellers. The bathroom is shared but clean at any time. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, lavish and for great price.

I opted for the budget room with 2 single beds. The room is obviously a budget room so don't expect fanciness but it was clean and everything was in order. Perfect if you are a budget traveller who wants to spend 1 or 2 nights in Ella. The mattresses are not the best but for what I paid I couldn't complain. The lady there is super nice and she really likes keeping everything clean. I was there on my own and she showed me all the rooms and they all looked nice , neat, clean and ready to receive clients. The bathroom was also clean and is to be shared between all the rooms (4) I believe. Plentiful Hot water was available. One good thing is that there were not many mosquitos in the room, there are no holes where they can come in, unlike other properties I stayed in , unless you leave the door open, of course. I was happy I didn't get any bites for once.

For the price I paid nothing really. The bathroom is on the other side of the floor so you gotta go through the dinning area for 12 meters. The mattress is not great but again, for 1 night, for the price I paid I didn't care. The place it's not easy to find. It is right across the railway ( yes, you have to cross the railway) and in between two 2 storey restaurants. But you will find it anyways.

Wifi was very unreliable.

It's cheap, the woman who runs it is very kind, and it's in a good location, just a short walk from town.

The beds are not comfortable. They are very hard. There's no fan but I didn't find it too hot to sleep. You have to either kill all the mosquitoes in your room or use the mosquito net. This was a medium quality stay in Sri Lanka.
