Quiet location easily accessible to town

I booked a twin room and was given a double then asked to pay more which i refused to do. The bed took up the whole room and was very damp. Wifi was turned off at night and i was locked out of the property when i went for a walk in the morning then returned.i was still charged more than the price online.

It's run by a very old couple which we were happy to support. Friendly and attentive.

Rooms are small, humid, no windows and with mold so don't expect a luxury stay in Ella. WiFi disconnected most of the time, like everywhere in Sri Lanka.

Cheap

I dont think the bed was clean and there was a leach on the wall. Above expectations even for such a cheap price.

Convenient location, good pice and very friendly owners. Hot water worked well in the shower and the bathroom was clean. Great value for money. Don’t expect it to be the Ritz

I am a single dude hiking the Pekoe Trail so I really only need a place to crash for the night. With that said their was a mildewy smell in the room common in places of this climate. But again the place cost $5 a night in 2024, in a tourist city, what more can you expect?

Hostel owner was really kind and accomodating. Also, dinner in this hoste was the best i tried in Sri Lanka

Family are super friendly and helpful! I got laundry done and it smelt great and dry! The food was delicious and it had good wifi. I would stay again!

Room was a little damp - but the whole of ella has this problem.
