Hello Super Hostel

Cheap room, good for one night.

Booked so called de luxe dobbelt room. The owner wanted to let another person to sleep in the same room,what I of course refused. Don't know what "de luxe" means, because the room and the whole place is very basic.

The service is complete zero, the room is very small, there is a small canopy hanging over the head, the room has no repair at all. Also, when booking a room online, get ready for the fact that you are ready to be fooled at check-out and call the price 200 plus and of course pay in local currency, although when booking it was indicated in US dollars. If you spend the night and quickly get up in the morning, it will go and then with a big stretch. The only good thing about this, location is that it is close to the railway station and the centre. I advise you to avoid it for a few bucks plus, you can find a better option and there are plenty of them.

Great location and price. Good place to stay for a quick while. Wifi was useable

Price discrepancy with booking.com - owner demanded more money than what my app showed. Room was very humid smelling. No bed sheet or towel. Have to cross a railroad with a low trip wire to get to the hotel. I tripped at night and heavily sprained my hand

Run by a lovely couple, good price for the area and good location, just at end of town and close to the train track for walking to Ella rock and the waterfall

Manike and namil is a really sweet couple. They don't really speak english so be patient and try to explain what you want and they'll be available to help you. Manike is a great cooker so don't hesitate to try her food! I only had breakfast and it was the best i had in Sri Lanka for 700lkr a really big portion. If you want to eat, inform her the day before so that she'll do the preparation that she wants. If you ask for it in the morning then "No say, no breakfast" 😄 The only disadvantage is that the atmosphere in the rooms is a bit heavy and humid because the sun is not really hitting the house. If you want it just for a sleep or two, quality and price is decent. It's really close to the city but pretty quiet and comparing to other hostels there are rooms with two beds where you might be alone, too. Love them 🙏

It’s a good budget option in Ella so standards aren’t high but I can’t complain for the price. Hot showers, lovely couple and a satisfying breakfast All in all a great option

Location is great! It’s right along the train tracks and super close to the main road and all of the restaurants. The host family is very friendly and accommodating. The shower also has super hot water! Overall the property was great value for the price. It is definitely a budget accommodation so don’t expect much but if you’re a low maintenance traveler, you’ll find the place just great.

Ella is general is just very humid/damp but that had nothing to do with the property itself.
