Stableyard Studio: Drumlanrig Castle

Well appointed, with everything we could need, warm, cosy and very comfortable. Beautiful surroundings and great walks through the castle grounds.

There was an overpowering smell of chemical air freshener when we arrived but we were able to turn the offending air fresheners off so it wasn't really a problem. The stairs up to the apartment might prove a bit of an issue for anyone with mobility issues.

We wanted a nice quiet getaway for our anniversary. We could have asked for nothing better. Beautiful property. Absolutely magical walks. We hardly saw anyone which was absolutely wonderful. Loved everything

Amazing stay in this beautiful place. Apartment was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Wonderful views and so close to castle and gardens. An exceptional stay.

Only that no access to the house when we visited as only certain days of the week

We enjoyed the outlook of Drumlanrig including the House and gardens. We walked every day and visited the local villages. This was a wonderful relaxing stay and we will recommend to friends and family.

The indications from promotional material was that there was a number of craft shops and bike riding opportunities etc. This was not the case. I think also more information as to when the house was open would be helpful.

Absolutely everything from start to finish the quality of everything from the iron to to the key safe..
