Stableyard Studio: Drumlanrig Castle

Location was good, quiet and relaxing. Plenty of nature walks if that's something your into. Accommodation was second to none, apartment was clean and modern and had everything that you could need. If you don't want to cook yourself then the nearest town is only about 4 miles away.This is the second time being here and have been in both apartments and there is nothing negative that I could say about either.

Castle is only open at certain times of the year so wasn't able to get into see it this time either so third times the charm.

It felt very priviliged to stay in such a splendid location as the former stables of Drumlanrig castle. Although the flat was just a modest three room studio, looking out the window in the early morning or late evening when the sun was shining on the 'pink palace' next door, it felt quite special. Paths through the adjacent woods, estate grounds and farmland started right outside the door. Free entry granted to the gardens for guests.

Stunning location, surrounded by nature and very quiet. A lot of trails are available for short, medium or long walks. The apartment was small but cosy, clean and comfortable.

The roads leading to the property have too many potholes, and deserve some maintenance (even if I am not sure who should be responsible for this, if the property or the local Council).

most amazing stay we have had. very accommodating and comfortable. will definitely be back. the grounds were breathtaking and the fire unit in the room was so warm!
