It was clean and welcoming, jeni and Ian were friendly, it was like home from home with many homely touches. Good location quite but not far from everything.

It was beautifully decorated, well appointed, exceptionally clean and had lots of thoughtful, homely touches. My personal highlights were the comfortable bed, the big tv in the living room, the helpful map on the wall pointing out local attractions, and how spacious, private and quiet it was.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

"A calming retreat for exploring the area."

Great location for a peaceful quiet stay. If you enjoy walking this is perfect. Also buses at the top of the road will take you to southend central for £3 and further. The Annex is wonderful to get back too. Everything you would need and more. Pure comfort. Jeni and Ian are next door and will welcome you and leave you to get on with your trip. Honestly they are respectful of your privacy. As a solo traveller I felt assured they were near to hand if needed. I really enjoyed my trip and would definitely rebook for a mini quiet me time break. Thank you Jeni and Ian Great ambassadors for Southend!

Everything, you know you're onto a winner when you arrive and the host is building an extra fan for the bedroom because of the heatwave. Ian and Jeni were absolutely fantastic hosts and their property exceeded all our expectations. Their personal touch made our stay extra special even including us in their daughters prom celebrations. The property was spotless and the facilities were far more than we ever needed.
