hon -Matcha no Yado-

It was a lovely hotel. We had a smooth stay and comfortable stay throughout. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a ryokan stay in kyoto.it was the best

The location close to park and station was five stars. Everything was clean and comfortable. Staff were super kind and spoke really good english.

I felt anxious all the time that my kids were too noisy. The floors and walls are paper thin.

The rooms are fantastic - so big - Japanese style.

Too expensive for what it is. Not a great location for Kyoto except for when you want to see the aquarium.

The atmosphere was awesome. And the hinoki bathtub was just amazing to wind down and rest my tired feet after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were so helpful and kind which made the stay so much better.

The rooms aren't quite soundproof because all the doors in the property are wooden sliding doors. But it's a small price to pay for an authentic aesthetic, and the neighborhood is very quiet so it wasn't a problem :)
