Very cosy, comfortable, spacious, clean and has everything we could need. Beautiful location overlooking Holy Loch.

Nous avons tout aimé. La situation géographique, au bord de l'extrémité d'un loch, les paysages surtout, toujours changeants et toujours plus magnifiques ! Le cadre est plutôt assez calme, la route à côté est plutôt fréquentée mais elle est petite et cela ne dérange pas. Jolie petite ballade dans l'arboretum à proximité notamment. La maison était incroyable, une taille idéale pour deux personnes, un agencement des meubles qui fait que c'est très fonctionnel et bien cosy, la décoration subtile, nous avons tout apprécié (jusqu'à la couleur des murs du couloir). Super terrasse en partie couverte, Super salon tellement confortable, lit confortable, chouette salle de bains, système de chauffage à distance très pratique. Cette maison a une âme que nous avons apprécié. L'aperçu des photos sur la page booking n'est pas trompeur, notre coup de coeur a été plus que satisfait. Le propriétaire était gentil dans ses échanges et se rendait disponible, ce qui était appréciable.

Que cette maison ne soit pas la nôtre ! hihi

I honestly can’t fault this stunning cottage

Great view from the veranda over the sea loch. Larger than expected, loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Although it was on a relatively busy B- road a short drive gave us loads of dog walking areas

The place was very cosy, and a little fireplace created an even better atmosphere in the evening. It was lovely coming back from a long walk and chilling in the sitting room. I loved a kitchen annex, designed in a cottage style with lots of real wood details. Spacious shower room with a heated floor was nice and convenient to use. Beds were very comfortable. My family and I felt like home in there. No problem contacting an owner by phone, although we didn't have additional requests as everything we needed was there, however, the owner- Alistair- said to just give him a call in case of anything. WiFi and tv worked smoothly, and a free parking spot was available as the website said. PS; for the fans of "Still Game", in Dunoon-little town nearby- there is a very friendly pub The Clansmen :D

The only thing was the lack of hot water in the kitchen, maybe it was us not doing something right, but we managed by boiling water in a kettle. Also, a dishwasher was there so we weren't bothered too much.

The location is ideal for those who wish to visit the surrounding Cowal Peninsula.

The layout of the cottage is lovely. Very comfortable space and well thought out, initially. Lovely views. Lovely lighting. Comfortable beds. Cozy. Lacks finesse.

Cleanliness was not good. "Personal" toiletries and condiments detract from a clean space. Kitchen not well stocked. Blunt knives, no scissors, broken cups, unmatched glasses, no water/colddrink glasses. Cluttered and lacks finesse. Outside space very disappointing. This was cluttered and not clean, cobwebs everywhere. No privacy with other residents walking where we were sitting. Front door only exit with lock that sticks. Feels unsafe in case of fire. No starter pack logs provided. House cold on arrival, heating took a long while to get sorted. No hot water in kitchen or rain shower. You have to open the hot tap to flush the toilet!!! No instructions.

We were a family of 5 (4 adults and 1 child) and everyone had a lovely time. The lounge/kitchen area is cosy and welcoming. Lots of boardgames for all ages and just an amazing space to relax in. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. There is underfloor heating in the main bathroom which is just divine 👌🏼The house warms up really quickly and stays warm for a long time even after the heating goes off. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning. The weather was a bit of a mixed bag but we still managed to spend lots of time outdoors. The host is friendly, considerate and helpful and gave us recommendations for a very good restaurant nearby. The info pack in the accommodation gives a good history of the place and lots of tips about what to do in the area. Overall, a very happy experience!

There is a bit of a musty smell in the house which is noticeable first time you walk in the door. I would say this is normal for a north facing home with lots of vegetation around it. The smell went away when we opened the windows and aired the rooms a bit.
