Gion Crystal Hotel

Clean, well maintained and quiet rooms.

A tad bit small and cramped up but that’s understandable for Japan.

We needed a quick one-night stay at the last minute. This hotel was perfect. We even purchased a robe that my wife liked when we left.

Excellent location- friendly & helpful staff - great value

We really enjoyed our stay at Gion Crystal Hotel. The location was perfect, with bus stops nearby and many of Kyoto’s main attractions within walking distance. Despite being so central, the area was quiet and peaceful. The room was larger than expected for Japan and had enough space to fully open our suitcases, which was a huge plus. The large window let in plenty of natural light, and the privacy film meant the room still felt private. The bed was very comfortable, and the hotel provided excellent amenities. The staff were also very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay.

The only downside was that there was construction work taking place outside, which was quite loud in the mornings. We weren’t informed about this in advance, which was disappointing. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay and we would happily stay here again.
