Park House Matlock

The property was very comfortable, well equipped and had unique decor and style. It was ideally situated for Matlock, Matlock Bath and walks to High Tor and Riber Castle. The host Sharron was extremely helpful. Although we were not able to meet, Sharron maintained contact and provided us with everything we needed - information and treats for our arrival.

We came to the property in three small cars. The parking would have been a challenge had we had larger vehicles.

Very quirky we loved all the artifacts. Sofas were really comfortable although we spent most of the time in the one room as there were 6 of us. Lived watching the fish!

The automatic lights in main bathroom only stayed on for 30 seconds so having a shower was Annoying as you had to keep waving your arm outside to activate the lights. Even cleaning your teeth. This is something that I am sure can be easily adjusted.

The location is ideal, with easy access to Bakewell, the historic Chatsworth, and several excellent nearby restaurants.

Would have benefitted from somewhere to hang outdoor coats.

Everything. Really good location- a few minutes walk through a beautiful park into town. A beautiful garden that we could sit in. Lots to do and see around the area. Sharon was a great host who was waiting for us at the property when we arrived.
