Park House Matlock

Location was great just a few minutes walk to town. Great parking at house. Fantastic house. Furnished and decorated to a very high standard. We took two grandchildren with us who also loved the house and garden. Matlock park is great for kids with a splash area for hot days. Matlock Bath about 20 mins in car or 30 walk along the river. Would highly recommend this house.

We love to cook and did mention to the host that some cooking pans could do with replacing, which she agreed to do.

The communication from the host Sharon right from the booking being confirmed was awesome. Sharon was there to greet us and show us around this magnificent property that is truly a gem. Every room has been tastefully and lovingly decorated to a high standard and is just so comfortable. The kitchen is fully fitted with every item you could possibly wish for and if you enjoy T.V there is one in every room. The Paris Olympics were on during our stay so we watched that but otherwise we were happy with music and great conversations. The garden is a beautiful space to relax,eat and drink in and we had amazing weather so got great use of the furniture outside. You feel really secure once parked up and lock the gate that is beautifully crafted.

In all honesty there was nothing about this fantastic property that we did not like. Sharon really has thought of everything you could possibly need being provided and accessible.

This property really had the wow factor. Beautifully decorated with a fine eye for detail. We loved it. The owner, Sharron, was very helpful and friendly. Going above and beyond to make our stay easy and pleasant. From the very welcome food hamper ( she took time to ask us of our bread and milk preferences) to pre booking a taxi for us for a family event. The rooms were comfortable . The master suite was huge. The dining area spacious and light. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need if cooking meals. The garden was beautifully designed, with lovely sitting areas,plants and ornaments,and a summer house. The ornamental lights that came on automatically at night were delightful. It was within easy walking distance of Matlock , but even being on the main road there was no road sound to disturb us . The history of some of the furnishings in the home was very interesting too. We rented the house as a base while visiting family. A gem of a find for us and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this house to others. It will be a first choice for us on our next visit.

Just a short stroll into Matlock made exploring the area effortless and enjoyable. The convenience of off-street parking was an added bonus, providing peace of mind during our stay. From the impeccable presentation to the exceptional hospitality, every detail was carefully curated to provide guests with an unforgettable experience. Given the opportunity, I would not hesitate to book this gem again. It truly felt like a home away from home. Thank you, Sharron, for making our stay truly memorable.
