Killa Bhawan Lodge

I booked this place for 2 nights but due to change on my plans I had to stay only for one night. The policy did not allow any modification, however Vicky (the owner) did everything possible to make my stay easier and comfortable. He accepted an early check-in, so I entered 5 hours before the normal check-in time. He also offered me free lunch and transport to get to the airport on the day of my departure. The place was just amazing! Comfortable room with a nice double bed and a spacious bathroom and good wifi. All very traditional according to the architectural style of the city. The location was unbeatable, just next to the main Haveli (traditional palace museum mansion) and very near to the other two most important Havelis (7 minutes max. walking distance) of Jaisalmer. More or less the same distance to get to the Jaisalmer Fort by foot and approximately 1km away from the Gadisar Lake which is another attraction in the city. Nonetheless, the big plus of the accommodation is its terrace! Having breakfast there or any meal is a must do thing and also get to the highest part of the terrace, offers fairly the best possible view to the Jaisalmer Fort. I recommend checking it both day and night! Overall I had a great stay there and I wish I could have stayed there for more!

By being next to the main Haveli of Jaisalmer, the area can get very crowded during the day but this didn't affect my sleep at all as it starts getting loud after 10 am.

We stayed here for 2 days and liked following things about this property: 1. Property is located very near to fort, lake and havelis. It is convenient to walk around and explore the city. 2. Terrace of this property has good seating arrangement with a view of fort and patwon ki haveli 3. Service was exceptionally good and staff was super active to help us during our stay 4. Cafe in the property is a lively place to spend leisure time during the day 5. Room is equipped with all basic amenities

Nothing as such. This property is well designed and managed.

Vicky the owner was a superb, very knowledgeable and guided us with his experience of sites to visit and things to do. The roof top restaurant had very good food and terrific views of the Fort and Pakwan ki Haveli.

Outside noise was a bit of a bother but the location made up for it:)

A lovely boutique hotel in the old city of Jaisalmer with great views of the Fort. Nothing was too much trouble for Vicky and his staff, it was quiet , stylish and a great location for enjoying the city. With a lovely rooftop cafe with delicious food .

Great location fort a short walk away. Continuous free tea and coffee. Great views of the fort from roof restaurant. Lovely helpful staff.

If you accept Indian standards are not UK standards then this is good value for the money.

Killa Bhawan Lodge is a great place to stay! Central location, great food and very helpful host. Also loved the continuous free coffee on offer!

Very large room, with a window facing the small place in front the hotel. Vicky was very helpful, provided many tips on what do see and do and helped organize travel to Jodhpur after my flight was cancelled. The haveli itself is very nice and well decorated, with an awesome rooftop terrace and a great view.

The handhelp bidet faucet was leaking. Apart from that, all good

Good location with view on the old haveli (also museum), veey nice view on the fort itself in walking distance. Vicky is very helpfull, not pushing it at all. Rooms very cosy.
