"Nice lodge at the edge of the mara"

Very nice staff, amazing food, comfortable rooms, easy to find, smooth check in.

The location of the lodge is right on the edge of the mara reserve making it feel more like you are outside the reserve than in. With the new rules in the park you need to pay for park entrance to get to the hotel and have to pay to rent a 4x4 "tourist vehicle" even if you have your own car due to the new park rules so the daily expenses go up very quickly vs a lodge that is outside of the reserve (and cheaper), another national park or another hotel that is more in the heart of the reserve.
