Apartment Hotel MODISH Gion

For me the only thing to like about Modish is the quiet location in an otherwise busy Gion.

The apartment was dirty: stains and dust everywhere and even some left over food from previous guests. The beds were so synthetic that I wasn't able to sleep at all. After two nights we decided to stay elsewhere.

Location was just north of the busier sections of Gion, so it was easy to get to places but also far enough away to be fairly quiet. It is close to several train and bus stops, but if you have large luggage it can be quite a walk. The in unit laundry and air conditioning were very needed during our stay as it was very warm.

There could be more hooks in the apartment for hanging things like towels, backpacks, or just clothes.

Location. Location. Location..Superbe! The space was great. The decor and amenities... . small Kitchen, bathroom, laundry machine, a small couch, 2 small separated desks... it was all we needed

I work a bit when I travel, so it was difficult to be seated for 3 hours in a small wood stool. I would have liked to have two chairs in the unit instead of stools.

Very spacious, modern and clean apartment in a great location. Having a washing machine and balcony to dry clothes was key for us. The instructions for self-check in were very clear. Would definitely recommend!

A small folding table and chairs to eat would be useful, but otherwise everything was great.

We liked everything about this place.

The space in the room, facilities, location in the heart of Gion, next to most of the places or different train-subway stations, laundry, balcony, place with sofa to relax and watch tv

Bathroom small size, impossible to take a conventional shower unless you take the shower outside the bath (there should be any place to hang the shower properly and two high bars with no sense apparently) Nevertheless I assume it must be the standard size and design of many bathrooms. Apart from that, incredible place to stay, not a drama.

No staff even at check-in times as stated but not a problem as access was easy and well described
