Apartment Hotel MODISH Gion

The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Kyoto’s historic district Gion. You can easily walk to famous attractions like Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera, and the charming streets of Hanamikoji. Both Sanjo and Gion-Shijō Station are just a short walk away. Despite being in such a lively area, the surroundings are surprisingly quiet and peaceful at night. I’d definitely recommend staying here to anyone !

Very good location and spacious.

It feels more like an apartment type of accommodation which is still fine, but a bit strange its called a hotel (no lobby or staff there).

The apartment was clean, large in size, modern, quiet and central to the main attractions and to public transport.

The property was unmanned and there was only 1 iron available for the whole block .

비즈니스 호텔과는 다른 넉넉한 공간, 전자렌지, 세탁기 등의 객실 내부 편의 시설, 수압과 온수, 간섭없는 편안한 사용이 좋습니다. 기온과 산조 게이한 전철역의 중간 쯤에 위치하여 주요지역으로의 접근성이 좋고, 관광지역에서 멀지 않으나 조용한 입지가 또한 장점입니다.

엘리베이터가 넓지 않은 것도 있으나, 엘리베이터 내부 보호를 위하여 벽면에 붙여둔 직물에서 다소 냄새가 납니다.

Very comfortable small apartment in a great location being convenient to downtown, trains and Metro yet in a quiet neighborhood away from the confusion of the city. Minimal cooking hobs but sufficient for simple meals. Significantly more room than most hotels and with a sliding glass door to small terrace. Very clean, modern, secure facility with rooms sufficiently isolated from each other that I never heard a neighbor during a week long stay. Lawson within one block and proper grocery within 15 minutes walk. Host was helpful but invisible-all communication by email/message.

A small table and chair would have been helpful for a place to eat rather than always working off a coffee table.
