the place is located in a very strategic position a few steps from the train station and the hydrofoil terminal and from the motorway entrances. As soon as I entered I immediately noticed that the air was very fresh and fragrant. The room is large with a ceiling almost 5 meters high, equipped with all comforts, including an incredible mattress on which I slept like I hadn't for years. In the room I found a small breakfast, Italian espresso coffee, personalized biscuits and mineral water, included in the cost of the room. Highly recommended.

Small bedroom overall with no window, but it was just what we needed for the night.

Borgo Antico rooms are found in a really nice part of Messina surrounded by shops, restaurants, and cafes. 10 min walk to the ferry if going to mainland Italy or same if needing to go Messina maritima. Location, therefore, is excellent. The host, Carlo, is very helpful and very approachable. He answered my million questions within minutes without an issue. The room is huge and pristine. Beautiful, comfortable bed, tastefully renovated recently with a well proportioned bathroom with all the amenities needed. Coffee machine, air conditioning and water. Small fridge. There are special touches like slippers, biscuits and intimate wash to use when using the bidet. The shower pressure is spectacular and of course, bathroom extremely clean. There's a full length mirror and a corner couch which turns into a single bed (if you bring a young child). There's an air conditioner and small sensor lights in case you need to go to the bathroom in the dark, as you need to step up to the bathroom. The high ceiling in this room is my favourite. Meticulously painted to match the colours of the beautiful tiles on the floor. The chandelier also adds an elegant touch. This is a place for couples who are able bodied as there are long marble stairs to the rooms plus many doors to manouver. Steps to the big secure gate, then another step up to the floor then a step down into the room. I assume this was done during the renovation to be able to fit the plumbing. If time was on our side, we would have loved a longer stay. Thank you Carlo!

No reception. Photos are misleading. Bathroom apart from the room. Noicy at night, could not sleep at all.

Good location. Nice room

The room was beautiful and very clean. The host was kind enough to furnish me with an iron and ironing board upon my request. The air conditioning was great and the slippers and bottled water were welcome little luxuries! Reccomend!

The man in charge was really nice and very helpful!
