Cinnamon Tan Residential Boutique Hotel

Wow, what a place!! And a real hidden gem. It was a shame we couldn’t stay here for longer as we were only in Negombo to catch our flight the next morning. We had basically an entire apartment to ourselves! The facilities here were amazing and the room was very comfortable with working air con. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. If you are reading this review, trust me, just book this place. Even if it’s a little outside your budget, do it. You won’t regret it!!

Nishantha is the best! Super helpful and lovely throughout our stay even drove us to the airport on a public holiday. Def recommend the Srilankan breakfast his wife makes, delicious! Lovely clean room, easy walk to beach,shops,cafe. Would definitely recommend staying here, best wishes to our lovely hosts.

Convenient location, comfortable rooms and great host

We had an amazing stay in Cinnamon Tan. The hotel is beautiful I really admired the interior design. Nishantha is a wonderful host, he picked us up from the airport, communication was very smooth and it shows he really cares about his guests. He even offered us late checkout at no extra cost which was really appreciated! Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, nice common areas (kitchen, space alá living room - really cool!), comfy bed

No windows in the room. Could be an issue for longer stays, for me no big deal as it was just one night.

The apartment was spacious, modern and extremely clean. The bed was large and comfortable, aircon worked well and the shower was strong, everything you need! There are restaurants, cafes and a grocery store within a short walk. The owner in particular was so kind and helpful, he went out of his way to make my stay enjoyable.

Amazing host, very friendly and helpful

Overall it was a good, clean, new place to stay. They have obviously put some effort into the design to make it a nice place to stay. The host stayed to greet us when our train was delayed, but it seemed a bit strange that a hotel didn't have anyone on the desk. Good sized room and facilities. Always a bonus to have a good non-stick pan and salt in the shared kitchen.

We felt a little mislead, as we booked a junior suite with a balcony, which turns out to have a shared balcony down the hall close to the room, but not attached, the kitchen is also shared. Nothing really makes this a suite, It is just a nice sized room. The room also didn't have a window to the outside (which you would totally expect from a suite!), only very small obscured windows to an internal corridor which means that you don't really get any daylight. Despite the room being quite clean, there was a MASSIVE cockroach living in the bathroom which we had to kill during the night!
