Cinnamon Tan Residential Boutique Hotel

The hosts were very gracious and the property was clean. The bed was relatively comfortable and the room was spacious. Air-conditioning was good.

The hotel is located on the side of a highway and has a train run by it very loudly every 30 minutes from 5:30 am until late at night which caused the room shakes. Facilities are quite basic and the hot water did not really work. There isn’t really any parking if you come with a car. Rooms also smelt quite funny. No elevator, but the Host did help with the bags.

The property was super new and clean and we really liked it. Is all modern and has mosquito nets on the window which is quite rare to find. The owner was super welcoming and nice to us. He allowed us a early check in (which was definitively appreciated since we arrived after a 20h flight) and also has helped us with the bus tickets for our way to Galle and dive us to the station at 6 am to make sure we could catch the bus on time. Highly recommended stay.

The room is a good size, super clean and tidy. AC worked well and having a fridge in the room was very useful. Nishantha and Dominic were both very hospitable, friendly and helpful, providing recommendations and directions. They also allowed me to keep my luggage in the morning before heading to the airport.

The walls are incredibly thin, I used earplugs at night as the noise from the hallway and the road are enough to keep you awake.

We had a great stay at the Cinnamon Tan Boutique Hotel. They were very helpful from the moment we booked to our check out, and arranged to take us to the airport. The staff were very attentive and made sure we were well looked after and had everything we needed. The room was really spacious, clean and comfy and provided a lovely place to stay on our last night in Sri Lanka. We would definitely recommend staying here.
