Excellent homestay surrounded by the rice fields. The included breakfast and dinner are tasty and a great opportunity to meet other travelers.

The family was wonderful and welcomed us like valued guests. For dinner they served as a wonderful meal, with a variety of tasty dishes. We enjoyed eating with them and other guests. Sue was also for trekking guide and she customized the trek to our specifications.

No heating in the rooms.

Great local experience. Did the trekking, had amazing dinner and perfect banana pancakes for breakfast. Sue and all her family are amazing hosts and very warm people.

No heating so the room was cold in January. But we wanted local experience and we got it :)

Sue was an incredible host, she was so generous with her time, family and home. The food was perfect and so much of it. The location was picturesque and very peaceful.

Sue and her family work so hard. I would like to know what volunteering opportunities there could be for westerners to support her community.

Our hostess, Sue and her family welcomed us into their home with generosity and warmth. At the dinner table we met and conversed with other travellers over delicious home cooked meals. Sue is a dynamo and can organize & lead treks to the ethnic villages nearby. She also took us on motorbikes to see villages further afield.

Had such a lovely stay at Sue’s homestay! The bungalows were super cute with amazing views! The food for each meal was delicious and there was a great range of activities offered to us! We helped with the rice farming one morning with the family which was a fun experience! A few other tourists stayed here as well which made it a fun evening- would highly recommend!

Brilliant stay with Sue and her family! It was such a comfortable stay and we were very well looked after. The scenery around the home stay was breathtaking, and the food at breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious. We did two days of trekking with Sue, which was a great experience to see the beautiful surroundings. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for an authentic home stay experience in Sapa.

The views and home cooked meals.

Hard to find. One bungalow had a broken shower holder. We also found that water leaked outside the bathroom door, so we had to use a towel to avoid slipping and injuring ourselves. The doors use a bolt lock to open and close, which made it awkward - for example, my husband would go out onto the balcony and would have to latch the door shut from the outside. If I was inside the room, I would have to signal to him to unlock the door.
