Beautiful place and very friendly host

Owner gave my room away to someone else, despite booking it on this website and receiving confirmation. I arrived via tuktuk at the property around 8pm straight from the train station and when I arrived I was told that I didn’t send a message to confirm my booking, despite it already being confirmed. Not only that but I had actually booked an EXTRA nights stay earlier that day, so he knew I was definitely coming, but he still chose to give my room away. Owner was coming up with ridiculous excuses about him not receiving confirmation, then tried to claim check in was only at 12-1pm. He told me to check online and when I checked Booking.com, it said check in was up until 11:30pm!!! I showed him and he had nothing to say, and just stood there with his normal gormless look on his face. I have him on video talking all this nonsense and then when I told him I would be sending this video to Booking.com, he said he “doesn’t care about Booking.com”. He simply told me to find another place to stay and didn’t care one single bit. AVOID unless you want high blood pressure and nowhere to sleep at night. He can respond to this how he wants, but I have solid proof of him literally laughing and saying he doesn’t care, and to go elsewhere. Disgusting human being.

The property is right beside the beach and is very small and private. The owner is such a great guy that by the end of my stay I forgot this was a guest house, felt like I was crashing at a friend's place. The hammocks on the patio are great for relaxing. The place is clean spotless and there's a fridge. Risha (the owner) arranged for a very affordable backwaters trip. Great value for money stay!

The sink was outside the room, but very accessible, but there was a tap in the bathroom flowing directly to the floor underneath the shower so it could be used for washing. The mattress was very thin so it was uncomfortable for me

Perfect quiet place close to the beach, massage center, local restaurant and touristic restaurant. Only the strict necessary. You will like this place if you like simple place. Richard is a very cool man.

I found a fresh, clean and perfumed room. There was toilet paper and a clean towel, which is a plus for a budget Homestay. The guy that runs the place was waiting for me on the road and was very friendly and helpful. The beach is very near, altough nothing special.

Unfortunately it was raining a lot and there was too much humidity on the walls of the room. At night I couldn't sleep for the humidity. In the morning there is a very loud wake up call at 5 am from the near Temple that do poojas singing loudly at the megafone for hours ✨😃

I had a great stay at The Blues. I got help with any kind of information I needed. The host is very friendly and has a good vibe. The place is cozy, quiet, very clean and very close to the beach and to good restaurants. Highly recommended.

I am a satisfied returning visitor. Everything is perfect about this place. I would happily come back if and when I am in the area next.

Risha is a fabulous host. For a reasonable price, we got an excellent room with the common kitchen. The bathroom is spotless clean with sparkling tiles. Overall, our couple vacation was excellent thanks to Risha looking after us very well. The place is easy to reach, with good food options or self cook options. Beach is opposite to blues. There are shops and late night beach options available.
