The Itchen River Apartments

Lovely modern apartment with terrific views over the river. Well appointed with everything you require. Quiet and comfortable.

Getting access to the property is a bit of a challenge. Locating the car park space was not easy at all. It took us over an hour to work through how to get in and park. Nothing is sign posted well so it makes it even harder to work out how to find and access things,

The property was clean and quiet. Lovely view from the 14th floor of the river and the surrounding port.

Check in procedure was terrible. Lack of hand towels and face washers in the bathroom. Car parking too far from the property.

The customer service response to questions concerning my access was good.

Location was good and accessible

Didn't know there would a toll bridge to go over twice a day every day. The system for getting the access to the property was complicated and caused us stress. Fortunately, there was someone duty to give access/

Good location, extremely clean and comfortable 1 bedroom apartment with allocated car parking space in safe secure underground car park beside the property and with excellent views of Southampton and surrounding areas, would highly recommend. Will return in the future I'm sure when we visit the area again.

Checkin process is rather laborious and frustrating and can be time consuming due to the site not being easily navigated. However was politely assisted by Jen who guided us through the whole process and this was obviously extremely helpful as it enabled us to alleviate some issues we encountered.

Online check-in was stressful, difficult and didn't work - rang for help 3 times. Finding property stressful, arrived at a dead end surrounded by high-rise blocks, eventually found public carpark, couldn't find apartment block. Eventually found door release but didnt work as wi-fi poor & door code not accessible. No help line, no reception, no way into building. Rang for help, operator released front door. In reception no staff, no help, no way of getting to 14th floor without a release code, rang for help. Operator released corridor door, lift doors, apartment door. Inside we found key fob but couldn't find info on car park. Rang for help, told to use 3 x QI codes on the wall in the corridor. Down 14 floors to take our car out of public car park to find our space in a locked carpark using a key fob. Parked car, removed luggage, couldn't find way out for pedestrians from car park to the street. Had to find a person on another floor to help. Back up 14 floors to the apartment, info for all services had to be gained from scanning QI code. Couldn't operate the TV, gave in with the other facilities. Went out on foot to find a cafe/restaurant, the only cafe within walking distance closed at 5 p.m., the other one beside the water was closed. Checked ourselves out a day early, way too stressful if you are not computer or IT experts and don't mind having no written guidance.
