Riverside Rest 1 - 2 Bedroom Apartment & Free Parking Onsite

Location. Great easy walk to Stirling, train station and bus station. Large store all with directions given. Wonderful view to Abbey and River Forth from living room and bed room. I also enjoyed met other people in the building.

Location was nice, slightly out of the main town but not an issue at all. Parking and neighbourhood was quiet and a real surprise was the view of the nearby 13th century abbey across the adjacent river. A very comprehensive guide to Stirling was included and this was instructive and useful for out of towners like us.

Self catering was expected but lack of oil and salt & pepper was disappointing. All doors were self closing - this could be explained in the info as fire safety or regulations.

Apartment block was one of many, but was a quiet location next to the river. Newly renovated bathroom and kitchen made a nice presentation. Lino floors were easy to keep clean and maintain. Ability to open the rear door to let in fresh air was nice. Owners were quick to reply regarding the code to get in and information for the apartment specifics and tourist surrounds was provided. Very effortless.

Entering the area, the whole street/parking lot was full of rubbish cans? It wasn't rubbish collection day and were part of the 'permanent' street scape which was odd. The entrance/ground floor of the building smelled heavily of cigarettes, mildew and ...? which was not the best first impression. The furniture was also quite cheap - the dining table benches were about to come apart and the one 2-person sofa provided had all the pillows stitched together? and wasn't entirely comfortable given there were three of us staying there. Could also use a bit more kitchen equipment (and a coffee plunger or moka pot?) as what was provided was bare minimum if intending to do any cooking.

The decor, well equipped, comfortable, a lovely place to stay. Especially liked the welcoming gestures of iron bru, shortbread and tunnocks marshmallow treats. The information about the area was great too. Would definitely recommend and would most certainly stay here again.

A bit too far out to walk to the centre of Sterling. Ideal for us checking out the University but not great to celebrate our sons 18th as quite a bit out of the centre, however we ordered a taxi so maybe not a big issue. The door to the double bedroom needs addressing as it often failed to open.

We liked the apartment.it was very clean and modern..it had all the appliances that a family need for a vacation.. Also the location was great..very close to the city centre yet quiet...the owners of the apartment checked in with us a few times to make sure everything was ok...my family enjoyed there stay...

The only thing I would improve.would be the seating in the lounge... simply needs another seat...1 couch just not enough for a family...

What a great find! This newly renovated apartment was perfect for our short stay in Stirling. It is very well equipped and easy to get to. The owners were very helpful and responsive from reservation to checkout. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the train/bus stations ... just a little more to tourist destinations downtown. Quiet and comfortable. We'd definitely go back!

It's important to know (especially for those of us that come from warmer climates) that Scottish homes do not have air conditioning ... only heat. This apartment has radiant heat and the central thermometer control was not intuitive.

Loved the location and the modern facilities. The hosts were amazing. We received every bit of information that we needed. The lounge room was full of information about eateries, sight seeing and things to do.

Not much really. Only a very minor thing was that the floors were a little squeaky. The place though was perfect

Bright, modern and very comfortable. Shower was amazing and the bed was super comfy. The kitchen had everything needed. Also the the treats were a a lovely touch. With only a short 15 min into town, the location was great. Gem and Tan met us at the property and where very nice hosts.
