Amy house

I really enjoyed my stay at Amy house. Sunny is a great host, she helps you and gives you recommendations, and also, her family is amazing. It is possible to book buses and tours for reasonable prices (I did a Ninh Binh day tour which I recommend and I booked the bus to Cat Ba with a pickup at the homestay). The dorm is very nice, the beds are comfortable, there is a lot of storage space and everything is clean.

I loved amy house! I wish I could have stayed longer. The rooms were very clean and totally quiet. The family that owns the hostel is so sweet and accomodating. I arrived unexpectedly at 5am and they let me check into my room right away for a very small and reasonable fee. Their daughter Amy (who the hostel is named after) is so cute and wants to practice her English. The area is quiet and relaxing,- a good way of experiencing local life rather than the touristy areas. All the sites can be reached easily with motorbike, taxi or bicycle.

The hostess gave us very good recommendations about what to do and where to eat. The dorm beds are very comfortable and everything was very clean.

We stayed in the bungalows and the were absolutely beautiful. The owners of the property were beautiful and we loved keeping Amy herself! We enjoyed staying out of the main tourist areas despite it being a bit more effort to get in.

The garden was absolutely fantastic and our room had a view to the garden which was just lovely. All in all it simply lived up to what we were expecting. The bathroom had a little private corner that was outside leaning further into the vibe that we are in the middle of the garden (still plenty private and comfortable!!)

Nothing much to point out here particularly given the great price we paid

The garden is really beautiful, the food was delicious and the host was the absolute sweetest! The location is a bit remote (which is no problem if you can ride a motorbike), but we where in Ninh Binh for the nature so it was no problem for us (we just booked a Grab).

We didn’t really mind but the bathroom is outdoors, which can be pretty hot in the summer (we didn’t get stung by any mosquitoes so it’s fine).

The propery is beautiful - dorm rooms in the main house, plus three private thatched cabins clustered around a big koi pond. Our host, Sunny, was wonderful, from welcome to restaurant recommendations to letting us ride along on part of a day trip she was doing with her English language summer camp for kids. That last one was a real highlight, and an experience we could never have planned or booked!

Wouldn't change anything, except maybe stay longer next time

They served breakfast which was delicious and authentic. We also booked halong bay cruise at the homestay and they arrange pick up and drop at our preferred location. We had the best room in the homestay with a pond view and lots of plants. It's definitely worth the money. Very clean, spacious and safe location. Initially we had planned to stay there only for one day, but because of the comfort and location, we ended up staying there for 3 nights.
