Amy house

I had a fantastic time at Amy House. Guests stay on a small and quiet street but a short scooter ride from the main attractions. The hosts and their children are often present in the common area and are just so helpful, patient and friendly, offering advice, providing drinks and food, or just to chat. They are genuine, hard-working, and you can tell that they care. There are also several spots in the building you can retreat to for privacy, a place to work, etc. A stay here offers guests a unique glimpse into everyday life in Ninh Binh in the sense that the hosts also offer evening English classes to neighbourhood children and adolescents, so you see local families come and go, and you can engage with them or not. Lots of smiles and happy faces. This place has a real charm and it will absolutely be my go to when I next come to Ninh Binh. Highly recommend!

I spent a night here when I was unfortunately extremely ill. Sunny went out of her way to check on me, bring me food, book me a bus, and allow me to rest in another room after check out until my night bus the following day. I can't thank her and her family enough for their generosity and help. That aside, I stayed in the private room and it was amazing! The bathroom is outside and super unique. The atmosphere at the homestay is lovely and quiet, despite being centrally located in the city. I highly recommend stopping here for a night or two if you're in Ninh Binh :)

Nothing to dislike

Very good bunkbed dorm with confortable mattress, the showers and toilets were very clean and I liked the fact that they were not mixed. Amy house can arrange for you any tour around the city which is very helpful.

everything! the staff was lovely, Amy is super sweet, the rooms are simple but comfy and the outside area is beautiful and green. An oasis of peace

it is a little away from all the sights, but you get to see how locals live!

First off…It’s a real homestay as the family actually lives there. Amy is the little girl of the family who is super talkative. The place was clean. The room was comfortable. The hosts were attentive.

For me it’s no problem but for some guests, it might be an issue as the rooms are on 2nd floor so you have to climb 2 flights of stairs to get up. A basic washroom on the ground floor might be practical. Can use more tips on where to get cheap local food.

- the host was incredibly nice and helpful - the room was super cute, and big - you can rent bicycles

- it was a bit humid in the room - all the sight seeing spots are a bit far away

Close to the city centre, but further away from the tourist area out in Tam Coc.

We stayed in the cabin in front of the lake. It was an wonderful experience. The place (and city) was so nice that we extended our stay for one extra day. Everything was beautiful inside and outside. Very calm and relaxed. But what we loved the most was Sunny and her daughter Amy. Sunny is like an angel. She is so kind, calm, helpful and really a friend. Amy is so adorable. We felt like home. I really recommend it. It was all an incredible experience. Thank you so much Sunny! A lot of love and lucky for all of you! ❤️
