Fortune Riverview Hotel Chiang Khong

We stayed at Fortune Riverview for just one night but very much enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. They arranged us a transfer to the border the following morning that was cheaper than a tuktuk in town would have been. The room was probably one of the best we had in Thailand, clean, comfortable and spacious. The balcony had wonderful river views and we enjoyed our evening sat watching the river and Laos slowly descend into darkness. Breakfast was great, good options and decent coffee. My only ask would have been for some fried rice as well as boiled rice just to add a bit of variety. Otherwise well worth picking as your stay if you want to break your journey to/from Laos up!

Nothing major, the only small gripe would be that the hotel restaurant prices were high and options limited. We ended up having to adventure into town to find more reasonably priced food which is a shame as we would have liked to have had dinner here with the view!

A lovely big hotel wit great river views from the room. 2 single beds were in our room and were very comfortable. Very clean everywhere. Food in restaurant was good but cold and dishes didn't come out all together.

The room was very nice, with a nice view on the river and the staff were very nice. Before going to stay in this hotel I stayed in The heritage hotel in Chiang Rai, which was a real disappointment. It is rated as a 5 stars BUT IT IS NOT !!!!! and the reception were not friendly or helpful. So it was a real joy to have a very nice Hotel The fortune riverview and friendly staff. With my job I travel all the time all around the world so I know what I should get !@@!

Breakfast should start earlier, at least 6.30 am

Location is wonderful. Views are great

No king bed. Moldy cloth shower shades. Breakfast was dismal. Cold eggs. Flies on the fruit. Coffee was appalling. Dim lights in the room. Hotel needs some love. Front desk staff was kinda bossy instead of welcoming. Not sure if it was a language thing. Just my vibe. Much better guest houses and prices and food elsewhere. Super disappointed in the supposed 4-star rating. 😿

Everything. Location is gem. Such a beautiful position on the Mekong river. Felt so refreshing after the Laos trip. Beautiful veranda restaurant. Very very polite and friendly staff. Cosy beddings in the room. Nice pool. Definitely worth the price and even visiting Chiang Khong just for the stay in this hotel.

Probably just the menu in the restaurant. It is so limited on food and drinks. Though buffet breakfast was superb.

The room was clean and spacious. The pool was nice to relax and swim in.
