Forest Hills Lodge

Couldn't have had a warmer welcome to Ireland! Donal was so incredibly frie ndly and helpful (and greeted me with a very welcome whisky!) and Diesel is probably the cutest dog this side of the Irish Sea. A lovely, warm, clean place to stay. The bed was super comfy, and room exactly as advertised (sloping ceilings were totally fine for me but might be a little tricky if you have mobility issues or are v tall). Highly recommend as a friendly and comfy place in a lovely town.

The house is beautiful with a wonderful welcoming feel. It was in the perfect location as we attended a wedding in the Millhouse and walked the ten minutes back to the lodge

Comfortable, great bed. Friendly guy owns the place. I don't drink it but he offered a shot of local whiskey on arrival. Clean place. Good location. I would definitely recommend

Not that I didn't entirely dislike it, I thought I booked bed and breakfast but the breakfast were scones corn flakes tea coffee and juice in the fridge in the room I was staying in with a little table and chairs. I thought it was a nice touch but I thought when I booked bed and breakfast that it would be a cooked breakfast. In saying that I had an extra half hour in beds to myself eating my scone.

Quiet and welcoming place. Great location to visit the celtic sites, other cultural locations, and Dublin. Useful and sharp advice to get the most out of our time in the area.

Donal was very welcoming and very helpful. Room was very nice and had everything we needed. Property is very central in Slaine. I would recommend this B & B and would definitely stay here again.

Our Host, Donal, greeted us with shots of the local whisky (smooth), helped with our suitcases, and called a local place to make a dinner reservation for us on a busy night.

The rooms were small, with slanting ceilings that made it hard to reach one side of the bed.

Did the trick. Like corn flakes, orange juice the best. Would liked to have spent more time in the room to relax and just enjoy the quietness.

Was nervous unlocking front door but it worked out well

Donal and Ellen were fantastic hosts couldn't do enough for us.
