スタッフの方々がとても親切&フレンドリーで、志賀高原の魅力についてたくさん教えていただきました。 また帰って来たくなるような安心感のあるお宿でした。 食堂の冷蔵庫にあるクラフトビールがとても美味しかったです！ 看板犬のわんちゃんもフレンドリーで可愛かったです🙂

年季は入っていますが私は全く気になりませんでした。 むしろ随所に歴史を感じて、今まで大事に経営されて来たんだなあと感心しました。 清掃は行き届いていると感じましたが、外観的な部分で神経質な方は事前に調べた方がいいかもしれません。

As we booked 3 rooms, they arranged 1 large room so we can have space for private get together inside the room. Friendly staffs. Proximity to ski lift. Food is good. Onsen on site. Massage chair (although quite old)

Rooms very rundown. Toilet+bath very tiny and the room itself also very limited in space. The need to pre-book dinner options a day in advance with no advice what the meal would be is quite difficult to make proper decisions. No convenience store nearby so very much restricted with what is available in the hotel.

The staff were very friendly. The food was great, especially the dinners. I stayed for a week and each night the set meals were different. My room was spacious. Whilst Sun Valley is on the outer edge of the ski resort I enjoyed the ski across to the main ski areas each morning as a warm up for the day. The runs across to the other ski areas were very scenic.

Admittedly the hotel is in need of repair and renovation, however this seems to be standard for accommodation in Shiga Kogen. It would be great to have hooks in the room for hanging ski gear to dry in the evenings, especially given the drying room was not operational.
