wanaka plantation road room

It was cheap and close to what i needed. 200m to a great gym and 800m to an amazing restaurant and 1km to Liquid laundromats so great location.

No towels so had to spent 30m to buy some at the warehouse. Also no way to fully close the windows and its close to a major Wanaka roundabout. But slept well still. No retainers either. Rug a bit dusty.

The location

The room felt old and dirty. No attention paid to making it look or feel cost. Carpets were dirty. Blinds were ineffective and not looked after. Waterston around windows. Single, uncomfortable pillow. Kettle and one cup supplied but no mention of tee or coffee to be self provided. No bed lamp provided. The door handle to the bathroom was held together with tape. The bathroom was in despatarate need of a good clean, cobwebs everywhere. The extractor fan was very dirty, and the lasting was poor. Both the bathroom and room are in despatarate need of a touch-up, to say the least. No double glazing and could hear outside traffic and the occupants of the house constantly. The entrance to the accommodation seemed like an afterthought. I don't think this should be listed as a place to stay on Booking.com It is an absolute disgrace.

Great location, within walking distance to the lake, and there’s also a gym just behind the property, which was very handy for someone like me who enjoys going to the gym.

The yard could be better maintained, and the lawn has become quite overgrown. There is mould along the inner edges of the bathroom.

It wasn't too far from the town center. Easy to find.

When I arrived, the person that showed me to the room was unable to answer my questions such as if I could park on the street or do laundry. I didn't see anyone else during my stay. A towel wasn't provided. The furniture in the room is not in great shape. The room is small. The condition of the place could be improved. There was peeling paint on the baseboards, dirty carpet, doorknob taped onto the door. I wish there was a lock on my side of the door that went to the rest of house to give me a sense of extra privacy. You do hear the people through the wall/door, but I was so tired, it didn't disturb my sleep.

Everything. Ramshackle house. Dingy room with ancient stained carpet, dirty walls, one kettle, one cup, no spoon, no towels whatsoever, hair on the shower floor. For $140 a night.
